Food Drive-- Posted Feb 02 2010
Members of the Ethical Humanist Society of Long Island are holding a Food Drive for the INN (Interfaith Nutrition Network). The food drive is going nicely thanks to your donations. We have reached our goal of 500 items so we have increased our goal to collect 1,000 items by March 21, 2010. (The first day of spring) So far we have collected 649 items. You can view the progress on the graph on the lobby bulletin board. Let’s remember that every small contribution helps someone else whose needs are so much greater than our own. Please pick up something extra in your weekly shopping and bring it in on Sunday. Take a look at the INN website and you’ll be very impressed at their amazing work: http://www.the-inn.org/.
