- Amnesty International: Group 74, a volunteer branch of Amnesty International USA, is a project of the Ethical Humanist Society of Long Island since 1976. The group meets regularly -- the 4th Wednesday of every month -- to work on behalf of political prisoners and others throughout the world. . - Our Times Coffeehouse: A joint project of the Ethical Humanist Society of Long Island and the Long Island Progressive Coalition. This project is made possible in part with public funds, by the NY State Council on the Arts Decentralization Program, administered in Nassau County by the Long Island Arts Council of Freeport.
- Ethical Friends of Children:An outreach program of Ethical Humanist Society of Long Island whose sole purpose is to help children by providing them with needed clothing and infant furniture.
- The Kenya Project: Quietly and over the years, Arthur and Lyn Dobrin nurtured this project -- an outgrowth of the time they and Anna Meyer Leibenhaut spent in Kenya as Peace Corp Volunteers.
