Arthur Dobrin is Leader Emeritus,Ethical Humanist Society of Long and Professor Emeritus of University Studies, Hofstra University.

He is the author of 30 books, the most recent of which are Westbury Imagined, based on true stories; and Traces of Water, a book of photographs by Spanish photographer Manuel Cortizo accompanied by Arthur’s poems.

He conducts two weekly Colloquies, one for the Long Island Society and another for Ethical Humanists around the country and Canada. He regularly conducts programs for the Interfaith Institute. He is a member of Nassau County’s Police Commissioner’s Council and the Faith Advisory Committee of Nassau’s District Attorney.
